What expenses are there getting a bill passed?

Our main expense during the 2009 legislative session was the cost of printing and assembling materials to give to our State Representatives to make sure that they had all the necessary information about HB 3282.  There are 150 districts in Texas, so even though the cost per booklet is not great, the cost is substantial when multiplied by 150.

Any and all monies collected will go toward promotion and passage of a Cottage Food Law in Texas.  In the event we collect more than our outgoing expenses for the 2009 legislative session, we will place the excess in trust for the 2011 legislative session.

Current expenses: $550 for postage, faxes, folders, labels, and printing for 150 informational packets, and printing and binding of petitions to give to Calendars Committee members.

Amount donated as of 7/18/09: $443
